Boiling hot room and water not supplied

I'm here right now and I can say this is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in in a long time. I have hardly slept as the room is boiling hot with only a tiny window but I can't get any air because if I open the curtains, I'm overlooked by several other windows. They did not supply water in the room so I've had to call reception for a bottle of water. Overall, the price is extortionate. I would rate this a 2-3 star hotel not 4.... Very disappointed

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel. We had a lovely stay, relaxed and just what we needed. On arrival we were greated warmly and all checks and forms filled out and Up to our room within 5 minutes even though we were slightly early. Room was nice, dated but comfortable. We would have liked to have more sockets and a fridge would have been helpful but that’s just our preference when we go away. Bed was huge and very comfy. Thankfully you could open the windows slightly as there is no aircon in the rooms. I’m not sure how comfortable that would be in the summer months though. We book dinner on both nights on arrival with reception. 1st night all was fine when we arrived at 7.30 the next night they said we hadn’t booked. So not sure what happened there. Thankfully they found us a table and all was lovely. Everything we ate was lovely at dinner service. I did think the lunch sandwiches were a tad expensive though. I ordered a tuna sandwich on our first day, it was £8 and all I got was a normal white bread sandwich that I could have made a home for a fraction of the price. Nothing special about it whatsoever ever. Just slightly dried bread where it had been sitting possibly under aircon or lights for a while before serving. Maybe some crisps and salad on the side might be a nice touch for the price paid. Grounds are lovely and we enjoyed walks to the lake and sitting with a glass of wine watching the world go by. Some hotel guests from abroad were extremely rude though in the bar area but that is not the hotels fault in the slightest. All in all we had a lovely stay and will definitely be back soon. Hotel is in definite need of an update at some stage.

I just wanted to put a review on to compliment the staff member Steve, who works on reception. He went out of his way to help us during dinner time and made two children very happy. He went above and beyond what is required and therefore is an extremely good person to have working there.

My firm had their annual event at the hotel, we booked out the heart of kent suite and i also stayed the night. The event team on duty on the 26th April were brilliant (Kirsty was really helpful), the event went smoothly and all my staff had a great time. I stayed in one of the room and all was clean and well presented, had breakfast in the morning and was of a good quality. Thanks
